"Back to Life, Back to Reality"

I had a great weekend, mostly because Garet let me do pretty much whatever I wanted :). Friday night, my parents took Levi and Garet took Kara so that I could have a girl's night at the house. We ate Steak-Out, Scrapbooked and just talked - it was wonderful! For those of you that read the previous post, I did eat my cheesecake.

Saturday Morning (after sleeping in), we went to pick up Levi and then Garet let me shop to my heart's content! The result? A new comforter for our bed (we still had the same one from when we got married!) and 2 pairs of jeans. It was great!

Sunday, I woke up (after sleeping in again!) and Levi & Kara (with Garet's help) had made me a card (these are the best!) and I got an armband for my ipod (still unopened...I know). We then had baby dedication at our church and so my parents and Garet's parents came out. Kara was the ham she is and made sure everyone knew it. It was nice to spend the day with my mom and mother-in-law too, because they both played a big part in me being a mother! The rest of Sunday was relaxing and I needed that.

There are days that I still don't feel like a mother (or that I'm 30!), but my life is definitely fuller because of Levi & Kara - I laugh so much more than I ever did before! That is a good thing for me.
