Today our good friends, Bill & Melodie, are leaving for Guatemala to meet for the very first time, Fernanda. They have been on a journey for several months to adopt this little girl who turns 2 in just a few days. Happy Birthday Fern!!This journey has not been without its ups and downs. Guatemala has had some governing issues over adoption and little Fern has had some abandonment hearings. While they do not have a solid date, we are all praying that they can bring her home soon! We sent some pictures of Levi & Kara with them in hopes that she will recognize them when she gets here - how cool would that be?
It has been such a privilege to be a part of this journey with the Schroders and it has really opened our eyes to all the children that so desperately need parents in this world. I can think of no two better people than Bill & Melodie.
We are praying that they have an Internet connection while they are down there so we can be a part of the excitement. Join them on their journey and pray that all the paperwork, hearings and money falls into place quickly. Have a safe trip guys - give our love to Fern!
