You know I went to see it...

...Twilight, that is. I've never been much of a movie person. In fact, over the past 5 years, I have probably only seen 5 movies in the movie theater. However, I couldn't miss this one! My friend, Mary, and I couldn't wait! Thankfully, she waited for me to get back from Hawaii so we could go together. I don't know who was more excited to see the movie, us:

or the 6 teenagers we brought along:I thought it was a great movie, IF you have read the books. Otherwise, I think you would have been completely lost - there was no character development at all within the actual movie. For those who have read the books, I thought the movie was the icing on the cake.

I decided why I think so many ladies adore these books. It is because every single one of us wants that guy who will do absolutely anything to keep us safe - no matter how hard that might be. Anyway, that was my thoughts. Anyone else see the movie? What did you think?

Oh, trust me, I saw it and loved it too. But agreed that it's only for someone who's read the book. And yes, I like what you said a/b why women like it - plus, it's just dreamy; I loved the way she wrote the actual love story. Good, teeny boppy writing, if you ask me =) Heck, I'd go see it again if it were free...oh, well, video...

saw it.... hated it. I have to admit that I didn't read the books...

I just found the movie to be a bit goofy. Especially the baseball scene! I really hated the main guy. I just kept thinking, "why would anyone like him?"

I should have known that I wasn't going to like it when I looked around (before the movie started) and noticed that I was the only guy in the place! yikes!

I actually got John to go with me. I pulled the "it's our 6-year anniversary, how much do you love me?" card. No, I didn't really have to do that, but he actually DID like it, surprisingly. It wasn't something he would see again, but what he saw, he enjoyed. I think he mosted liked the angle Meyer took with her lifestyles and abilities of her vampires. I didn't give him some background knowledge though, so I can't say for sure if that helped him enjoy the movie better or not. I LOVED it almost as much as the book, almost.

Oops, I meant I DID give him some background info. :) Typed faster than my eyes could edit.

seriously...you need to watch more movies with special effects - blade, underworld, even the old star wars (30 years ago)..something. When "climbing" up a tree looks like a guy standing in front of a green screen flailing his arms, you got problems...

that being said - I can see how the story would be fine (especially with all the background Kristen gave). Interesting though on why its appealing. Now the question - is it simply the fact the guy is willing to do everything he can to protect, or that he actually protects? I sure hope its the former (lets just say that solving n-degree polynomials usually doesn't make the bad guys go away)

Who knew all these men would see this movie!

Brian: you crack me up. For your sake, I'll say "willing". :)
